Symptom
You have created a Sales Quote document as a follow-up from an Opportunity, and when checking the documents details either under the document or via report, you notice that the Chance of Success value is not the same as the value maintained under the Opportunity.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the New Business work center.
- Select Sales Quotes view.
- Search for the ID ABC (ABC represents the ID of the Sales Quote).
- Click Edit.
- Under the General view.
- Chance of Success shows: 100%.
- Go to the Document Flow tab.
- Open the Opportunity XYZ (XYZ represents the ID of the Opportunity).
- Under the General view.
- Chance of Success shows: 80%.
Cause
Under the Help Center document Opportunity Processing, it states the following:
If an opportunity is successful, you can create a follow-up service quote, sales quote, sales order or sales quote for contract.
When the Sales Quote is created a follow-up from the Opportunity, system identifies this as being 100%.
Resolution
This is the system expected behavior.
What you can do, is manually change the value under the Sales Quote.
