3088765 - ’Linked variables’ do not work in SAC Story in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning

• This is a problem with a story linked to BPC Embedded with live connection where several BPC Embedded Live Models are used. Users use the same variables within all of the models and set the story to ‘link variables’. However, after some time, the linked variables can not be edited anymore.
• Although they set all prompts of the models to ‘Automatically open prompt when story opens’, no prompt is shown, when the story is opened.
• This worked before with simpler story and then the users started to do changes to the query, especially including additional variables when the problem starts to occur.

• BPC4HANA    200    0007  on BW4HANA    200    SP6  

1. Open Story 
2. Click More > Edit Prompts > Link Variables :nothing happens
