Symptom

  • Most browsers will warn of an untrusted certificate if it does not contain the Common Name in the Subject Alternate Name (SAN) field.
  • iOS 13 and later devices require SANs and Extended Key Usage (EKU).
  • SQL Anywhere's createcert.exe does not support SANs or EKUs.
