3089202 - SUM failed due to the failure of DB_STATISTICS_DATA_READ - Business Suite on SAP ASE

Symptom

  • The following error message happened while Netweaver was upgrading through SUM:
    Report name ...: "RSUPG_TABSIZE" Component: "BC-UPG-TLS-TLA" "(Upgrade Tools for ABAP)"
    Get table size on "SYBASE" from DB_STATISTICS_DATA_READ
    Function module "DB_STATISTICS_DATA_READ" failed with sy-subrc="2"
    Statistics for "0" tables read
    Cannot get size information for tables. Please create DB statistics.

  • The same issue still happened after running update index statistics manually. 

  • When checking the log message of data collector 'tables' and 'indexes' in DBACockpit, the following message was displayed:
    Server user id 4 is not a valid user in database sybsecurity.
