3089276 - Supported number range for address number in API API_BUSINESS_PARTNER

This documentation explains the purpose of external number ranges for address numbers and which address number ranges are supported by API_BUSINESS_PARTNER.

The standard configuration delivered by SAP includes address number ranges "01" and "10". Number range "10" is required for certain SD-related applications.

Customers can modify number range "01" if required. However, the address APIs always use internal number assignment. External number assignment is not supported, because the APIs used to determine a new address number always use number range "01". Only for SD-related applications is the address number taken from number range "10".

Currently, the address APIs support only number ranges "01" and "10". Other address number ranges are not supported.
