3089587 - How to Add Input Scrap to Production Models

Input Scrap field is grayed out for Production Model XXX and you want to add the value.

XXX = Production Model ID

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Planning and Production Master Data work center. 
2. Select Production Models view. 
3. Search for Production Model XXX. 
4. Select Edit. 
5. Go to Bills of Operations tab. 
6. Go to Product Assignment subtab. 
7. Notice that Input Scrap field is grayed out and cannot be fulfilled. 

Click Check consistency button. If result is consistent, then Input Scrap field will be enabled; if the result is inconsistent, check what is wrong in this production model and fix it. After that, click Check consistency button again. The prerequisite to enable Input Scrap field is that the production model is consistent.

1. Go to Planning and Production Master Data work center. 
2. Select Production Models view. 
3. Search for Production Model XXX. 
4. Select Edit. 
5. Click Check Consistency, shows consistent. (if inconsistent, fix this inconsistency firstly)
6. Go to Bills of Operations tab. 
7. Go to Product Assignment subtab. 
8. Notice that Input Scrap field can be entered.
