3089931 - Assigning Employee Central Fields to Compensation Worksheets - Compensation

Symptom

How can we add values from EC to fields in compensation?

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

Resolution

Compensation forms contain data fields. To transfer information from Employee Central to the form, you must map fields between Compensation and Employee Central.

NOTE 1: Ensure that the fields used in Compensation also exist in Employee Central.
NOTE 2: Background element is not supported to map it in Design Worksheet.

  1. Select the Compensation template;
  2. Go to Plan Setup > Design Worksheet
  3. Select the Column (not all standard fields have a mapping option);
  4. In the column editing page, search for EC Category.
  5. There, select an Employee Central Component;
  6. Then, from the EC Component Name dropdown, select a value.
  7. From the EC field dropdown, select an HRIS-field from where the system retrieves the information;
  8. Save your changes.

The EC Component Name field is valid only for the following EC Categories: Pay Component Recurring (Compensation), Pay Component Non Recurring (One-Time Payment), Pay Component Group and Job Relationships.

Once this is done, values from EC will be displayed in compensation forms:
