3090643 - Error Message "Action Not Possible; Termination Records Exist for Work Agreement"

You are trying to change the validity of an employee who was already terminated, but system throws error message "Action not possible; termination records exist for work agreement."

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Personnel Administration work center.
2. Access the Employees view.
3. Set selection to All Employees.
4. Select the relevant employee and click the Edit button.
5. Go to the Employment tab and the Work Agreement subtab.
6. Click the Change Hire Date or Change Termination Date button and provide a new date.
• Alternatively, you can change the date directly in the Valid To/From fields.
7. Error message "Action not possible; termination records exist for work agreement" is raised.

The cause for the issue is that this employee is already terminated

It is not possible to change the validity of a terminated employee as the employee's personnel data record becomes locked.

If you wish to change the ending of the validity so that the employee's active time in your company is continued, the available alternative would be to execute a rehiring (check the See Also section).
