3091450 - Unable to Drag and Drop Components in SmartEdit

Symptom

When opening a page in SmartEdit, the following (a) error message appears, with a (b) failed request in the console tab of the browser and below (c) log

  2. /cmswebservices/v1/catalogs/yourContentCatalog/versions/Staged/pages/yourPage/typerestrictions 404
  3. INFO  [hybrisHTTPXX] [RestHandlerExceptionResolver] Translating exception [de.hybris.platform.cms2.exceptions.CMSItemNotFoundException]: Cannot find type restrictions for the given slotIds.

In certain cases, these behaviors also come with the content slots being red when dragging a component. After dropping it, a similar error message to below one is seen on top of the screen:

Component {{componentUID}} not allowed in ContentSlot.
