If you are using the App Manage Your Solution
SSCUI 101016 for configuration step Define Tax code for sales and purchase

If you are using Central Business Configuration CBC, please search for Configuration step Define Tax code for sales and purchase

If you are in Test System you can delete the tax code

If you are in Production system you can set Tax Code to "Inactive" - No Further Use

If the XINACT indicator is set, the tax code is deactivated and no longer displayed in the input help for making postings.

For reporting purposes, the tax code can still be selected from the input help (FI report RFUMSV00/RFUMSV10).

Dependencies
Although a deactivated tax code is not offered in the input help F4, it can still be used for posting, clearing, and making payments. The system does not check whether the tax code used is deactivated.

In the App Display Tax Information per Country (App ID S_ALR_87012365) you can see all tax code that are flagged as inactive
