Symptom
In S4HANA the archiving flag of the BP and the central deletion flag of the customer/vendor are working in the following way:
If Archiving flag (BUT000-XDELE) is set, then Central deletion flag (KNA1-LOEVM/LFA1-LOEVM) is always set (and read-only), it cannot be unset.
-It means that, if you sent the archiving flag for a BP on the Tab Status, the Central Deletion flag is set automatically for the customer/vendor on the Tab 'Customer: General Data'/ 'Vendor: General Data' in the transaction BP.
-It occurs automatically because, if you set an archiving flag for a BP means that you do not want to use neither the BP nor the assigned customer/vendor.
-If the archiving flag is set for a BP, the Central deletion flag cannot be edited on the Tab 'Customer: General Data'/ 'Vendor: General Data in the transaction BP. ( Go to change mode and go to the Tab 'Customer: General Data'/ 'Vendor: General Data')
If Archiving flag (BUT000-XDELE) is not set, then Central deletion flag (KNA1-LOEVM/LFA1-LOEVM) may or may not be set(editable)
-It means that, if the archiving flag is not set for the BP on the Tab Status, the Central Deletion flag can be edited for the customer/vendor on the Tab 'Customer: General Data'/ 'Vendor: General Data' in the transaction BP. So the Central deletion flag can be set/ unset independently from the BP which means that you can set the central deletion flag for the customer/vendor but the BP still can be used.
