3093170 - Sales Quote/Order Output E-mail Template Shows Placeholders Description Instead of the Value Maintained in the Fields

Symptom

When you preview a sales quote/order e-mail template the system shows the placeholder description instead of the value maintained on the field.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

As an example, we'll consider on this document that you preview the sales order output e-mail template showing the placeholder for the field 'Owner'.

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Sales Orders view.
  3. Open a sales order.
  4. Click on Actions -> Preview.
  5. Click on 'E-mail Text'.
  6. In the e-mail body it is shown [FormQuote-EmployeeResponsibleParty-FormattedName] instead of the owner name.
     

Cause

The placeholders will be replaced with content when you send the email.

Resolution

This is the expected system behavior. The e-mail received on the inbox will show the value of the field, but in the system the placeholder is shown.
