3093223 - Fields updated during time off cancellation are not saved

Symptom

When cancelling a time off request, another field is updated but the update to the field is not saved. 

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Time Off

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Have a take rule that checks the value in a custom field
  2. Update the custom field and then cancel the time off request
  3. The take rule is not picking the updated value of the custom field 

Cause

This is the standard behavior. Changes made during cancellation of a time off request are not saved.

Resolution

  • The time off request will have to be edited and saved first, then only it can be cancelled for any updates to be made to the time off request
