3094159 - Goods Receipt Reversal process for Inbound Deliveries in SAP S/4HANA Cloud WM


  • You want to reverse the goods movement of an inbound delivery distributed to Warehouse Management (WM Managed Storage Location).

  • For the deliveries distributed to WM, this is the Inbound Delivery reversal process (if the 1st one does not apply, go to 2nd and then 3rd):
    1. Reversal of goods receipt:
      You can reverse the goods receipt of the stock through app "Change Inbound Deliveries - Deliveries". If any of the following restrictions apply to one of the items, the GRR will not be possible:
      1. Putaway status is already completed
      2. There is an open Warehouse Task for the item
      3. Item is QI relevant and Quality decision is already made
      4. Stock content was changed, e.g. goods receipt was posted using a handling unit and this handling unit has been deleted or stock type was changed with a posting change

    2. Entry of quantity differences during putaway:
      During putaway, you can enter differences during the confirmation of warehouse tasks with app "Confirm Warehouse Tasks - Advanced". In this case, you must enter an exception code for the confirmation. E.g. with exception code DIFD, if you're changing the quantity when confirming a putaway warehouse task, the changed quantity reduces the quantity of the inbound delivery item.
    3. Creation of return delivery:
      If the putaway WT was already confirmed you need to create a return purchase order. With this you can create an outbound delivery based on this return PO, pick and goods issue the stock.
      Follow the steps described in scope item "Return to Supplier (BMK)".
