Symptom

You see the following error in PHASES.LOG in phase PREP_SPACECHECKS/FREECHK:

2 ETQ399 Collecting kernel list files from directory '<SAP drive letter>:\<path to SUM directory>\SUM\abap\exe'.
3 ETQ399 Using list 'instance.lst'.
3 ETQ399 Using list 'instancedb.lst'.
1EETQ399 Last error code set is: Missing file 'D:\DHwork\SUM\abap\exe\brarchive.exe'
1EETQ204 Upgrade phase "FREECHK" aborted with severe errors ("20210903133816")
 
but your system does not use Oracle DB and, therefore, should not use the brtools.
