3094548 - Approval of custom time type doesn't work, although 'Approval from Line Manager Required' is set

You have created a custom time type, and you set the approval option to 'Approval from Line Manager Required'.

You are expecting time recordings of this time type go to line manager for approval ,however the time recordings don’t go to approval when the time is assigned to project task.

For the assigned project task, time recording is marked as no approval required. Hence, all the time recordings against this project task will directly be posted without approval if the employee is planned under the project team and staffing tab.

For project time recording, all the project time recording are always sent to project manager for approval.

That is to say, if the line manager and project manager are not the same person, the approval task will go to the project manager instead of line manager.

This is a standard system behavior which cannot be changed via configuration.
