3095961 - What's the difference between CC and CF for movement type group - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

In SSCUI "104390 Assign Movement Type Groups of Material Ledger", for movement type group, there are 2 options "CC" & "CF". It's not clear what's the difference.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

Check SSCUI "104390 Assign Movement Type Groups of Material Ledger".

Cause

It explained in the field F1 help as:

Parameters to define how consumption is to be revaluated:

  • " " No Revaluation
  • "1" Revaluation of G/L Account (CF)
  • "2" Revaluation of G/L Account and CO Account Assignment (CC)

If you select option 1 or 2, the account assignment objects (G/L account and/ or CO account assignment) are stored as the consumption alternative key when consumption occurs for movement types that are assigned to these movement type groups. This allows the account assignment objects to be revaluated using actual costs at the end of the period.

You assign movement type groups in Customizing under Assign Movement Type Groups of Material Ledger.

So simply speaking, CC means the G/L Account and CO account assignment will both be revaluated.
If you choose CF, only G/L Account will be revaluated.

Resolution

Choose the one that fits your business.
