3097265 - Log messages returns "The forecast could not be calculated as there is insufficient input data" when running a Statistical Forecasting Job

Symptom

When you want to consider Product Reference for a new product (NPI), already configured at Manage Product Lifecycle App, and you also want to consider hierarchical levels as historical data for the new product, when the first level does not have enough historical data to be considered. Then, when running a Statistical Forecasting Job, using "Consider Product Lifecycle Information" enabled in the Forecast Model, you receive the following messages:

  • "The forecast could not be calculated as there is insufficient input data";
  • Product references could not be found.

Example:
First Level: Products YY, ZZ and XY
Second Level: Product XYZ
