Symptom

When trying to create a Sales Quote via Account Wizard error appears:
"Document type Utilities Lean Quotation does not match process variant"

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Accounts > Open any
  2. Go to a Sales quotes tab
  3. Click New Quote Wizard
  4. Error appears: "Document type ABC does not match process variant"

Cause

The error is raised since the 2 processing types (ABC and XYZ) have different pricing type.
By default, Utilities Lean quote has external pricing enabled.

Resolution

You need to check the scoping question "Integration with External Application > Integration into Sales, Service and Marketing" > Do you use an external application to determine prices, free goods.."

Once this is selected, go back to the document type definition of the ABC and mark it as external pricing. This should stop the error from being raised.
