3098272 - Error when creating Job Requisition from Position Org Chart with enum fields - Recruiting Management/Employee Central

When trying to create a Job Requisition from Position Org Chart, an error comes up: Sorry, the requisition cannot be created. Creation of a job requisition for position [Position Number] failed. Details: department / location / division invalid

The value being sent from the Position is not a valid value in Department/Location/Division's field in RCM because the value is not active or doesn't exist in the User Data File.

The way that department, division and location enum fields are designed to work, the values are picked based on the User Data File. So, when creating the job requisition from position, the rule is trying to pick the value from the position, which is using the Department/Division/Location object, and set into the field.

It will be required to have an exact match according to the value the rule is setting so that the value can be passed over to the job requisition. Otherwise, it won't work.

Hence, the value being set by the rule needs to have an exact match in the User Data File associated to an active user's Department/Division/Location accordingly so the rule can set the value, and the job requisition can be created.
