3098892 - Type ahead option for searching is missing in Multiselect fields (object/picklist)

When multiselect="true" for an object/picklist field, we are not able to use the type ahead option and search for a particular value.

Also, typing in alphabets does not jump to the respective values with the same starting alphabet but goes step wise.

Access a job requisition, check for any fields (object/picklist) where the multiselect is enabled. (multiselect="true")

Dropdown the field and you can see there is no option for type ahead. 

Whereas fields where the multiselect="false"  there is an option to type in and then select the desired value.

Our Product Management team has confirmed that this is the expected behavior of the object/picklist fields where multiselect is enabled (multiselect="true")
