3099187 - Error 'Allocation not found; cancellation not possible' When Cancelling Incoimng Cash Payment

Symptom

Reverse an incoming cash payment and encounter error message 'Allocation not found; cancellation not possible'.

Environment

SAP Business ByDeisgn.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Payment Management Work Center.
  2. Go to Payment Monitor View.
  3. Open the Incoming Cash Payment ABC.(ABC is the document ID.)
  4. Click Reverse and see errors: 'Allocation not found; cancellation not possible.' 'Cancelation of payment 39638 failed.'

Cause

Incoming Cash Payments created through a web-service cannot be cancelled from the UI currently. Here, Incoming Cash Payment ABC is created through a web-service.

Resolution

Report an case to SAP requesting for cancelling the incoming cash payment with authorization.
