Resolution

In Variable Pay we pull goal information from Performance forms. During this process we either enable the normalisation of goal weights or not which are displayed in an employee's assignment information.

If normalisation is enabled in plans, the system will display weight prorations in total goal weights.

If normalisation is disabled in plans, the system will display the goal weights as they are set in your linked Performance forms directly, not matter how much these equate to.

For example, we have three goals in a Performance form with weights 50%, 100% and 50%.

Should normalisation be enabled in this scenario, Variable Pay will display 25%, 50% and 25% which will add up to 100%.

If we have normalisation disabled, then Variable Pay will display what is shown within your Performance forms. So this would be 50%, 100% and 50%.

To disable normalisation open the Variable Pay xml and under Element varpay-guideline-pattern put <normalize-goal-weights enabled="false"></normalize-goal-weights>
