3099550 - How to analyze network issues in ABAP environments

Symptom

This KBA will document the action plan items for the issues related to the network. Network troubleshooting is a big topic, and it is not possible to put everything into this KBA. As a result, this KBA will not provide the solutions for all the network issues, but it will provide a general idea and action plan items to analyze and solve the network issues (e.g. the issue in the following table).

Category Example
One single network error related to one single connection E.g. SI_ECONN_REFUSE(Windows 10060, Linux 110), SI_ECONN_BROKEN/(Windows 10054, Linux 104)
Network performance issue which might affect multiple connections E.g. the performance issue caused by packet loss and retransmission
Some network issues related to the application layer E.g. the max connections reached in different kernel components

This KBA also collects the general information for the frequently-used network-related tools on the "See Also" part.

*** The image/data/IP/port in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental. ***
