3099639 - System Replication setup error, unable to contact primary site host Trying old-style port

When trying to set up HANA System Replication between primary and secondary sites an error occurs on command line after executing 'sr_register....': 

nameserver <secondary host>:3##01 not responding.

Or when tried to register the Secondary site after take over using "sr_register", the registration failed with following error in secondary nameserver trace:
