3100094 - Error while Importing or creating Employee Time Record : "This External code already exists. Try another"

• When Trying to Import an Employee Time Record or create it manually, an Error message comes up as below :

           

• But in the system, no Employee Time Record exists with that external code when searched from manage data

• SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Import Employee Time file with the template filled in or Navigate to Manage data -> Create new Employee Time record
2. Upon Importing or upon hitting save, the error message indicated above shows up
3. But in the system, no Employee Time Record exists with that external code when searched from manage data

There are data replication proxy objects present with the same external code which are causing this Error Message

• Navigate to Manage data -> Data Replication Object and set Include Inactives to Yes
• Locate the object with the same external code being used for Employee Time
• Delete that object from UI

    

• Data Replication Proxy is a standard MDF object available in SF to store time data (Absences/Time-Sheet) of employees.
• This MDF object is only relevant for storing time data which can be sent to SAP ERP HCM or SAP ECP using standard integration scenario.
