3101024 - How to Edit Fund and Function in a Sales Transaction

Symptom

You have sent a Point-of-Sales Sales Transaction into the system and when opening the document, you expected to see Fund and Function and have the possibility to edit it.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Customer Invoicing work center.
  2. Select the Sales Transaction under the Point-of-Sales view.
  3. Search for the ID ABC (ABC represents the ID of the Sales Transaction).
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Navigate to the Sales Items.
  6. Select the item which you expect to see Fund and Function.


Fund and Function does not show under the item.

Cause

As of the 2108 upgrade, Fund and Function is editable under the Sales Transaction document. This can be performed by selecting the Revenue Assignment.

Resolution

This is the system expected behavior.

To solve this, please perform the following:

  1. Navigate to the Customer Invoicing work center.
  2. Select the Sales Transaction under the Point-of-Sales view.
  3. Search for the ID ABC (ABC represents the ID of the Sales Transaction).
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Navigate to the Sales Items.
  6. Select the item 10.
  7. Navigate to the Revenue Assignment subtab.
  8. Expand Account Assignment Type.
    Select General Ledger Account Only.
    The system will allow you the option to enter the expected Fund and Function.

    Select Project Task.
    Enter Project XYZ (XYZ Represents the Project Task).
    If a Fund and Function was assigned to the Project Task, this will be retrieved automatically to the line upon entering the task and the field will be disabled for editing.
