3101541 - "Copy address from employee" field is not available - Onboarding

• For the onbordees, the field "copy address from employee" part of the dependent or emergency contact portlets is not visible.
• Role-based permission for the field is provided for the External Onboarding User role.
  • Under Employee Data -> HR Information ->Primary Emergency Contact.
  • Under Employee Central Effective Dated Fields -> Dependents -> “Copy address from employee”.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. “Copy address from employee” field permission is provided to the External Onboarding User role
2. Log in as the external user with a start date in the future
3. Enter the Personal Data Collection step
4. Under the Dependents or Emergency Contact portlet, the “Copy address from employee” field  is not available

For future-dated hires, the option for dependents or Emergency Contact to Copy Address from Employee is unavailable.

• This is because the asOfDate in addressInfo or emergencyContactPrimary is considered still inactive for new hires.
• As such, the "copy address from employee" (is-same-address-as-person or isAddSameAsEmployee) field from Dependents and Emergency Contact will not be possible if we cannot get the addressInfo and Emergency Contact of the employee.

This is the current expected system behavior. “Copy address from employee” field is not available in onboarding for future dated new hires.
