3102162 - Pasting Failed Due to a Technical Error in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC)

Symptom

The following error message occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC) when you try to paste a value in a planning enabled cell of a planning story:

  • Pasting failed due to a technical error 

In F12 -> Console tab, the detailed error is as below:

  • Firefly returned with errors Caught exception : exception 42460: The hierarchy doesn't exist  : The hierarchy doesn't exist  : hierarchyName=xx, fieldName=<dimension name>, dimensions=[<dimension name>, <dimension name>.ID]  -  sap.fpa.ui.pa.utility.FireflyUtils
