Symptom
You want to add a Public Solution Model (PSM) field to a view and enable it for OData services. You further want to transport it to another system.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Resolution
The process chain is as follows:
- In Adaptation Mode, add PSM field (e.g. CustomerGroupCode which is visible as Customer Group in the UI) to UI (e.g. Sales Quote)
- Click on Details and Edit
- In OData services tab, add it to the required service and Save
- Leave Adaption Mode
- Go to Transport Management
- Create a Transport Request
- Select the Transport Object Type as "Adaptation Changes"
- Select the UI Component Details
- Add the UI Component which is having the PSM fields added
- Once UI Component is selected, Key User fields will be added default
- Now click on Actions -> Add Optional Dependencies
- Pop-up opens with PSM field available to add it to Transport Request
- Select and Add
- Add System and Transport the Request to Target System
- In Target System, after Release it should be available in OData Metadata
