3103431 - Posting take over values to French Company Code to an asset gives error AA617 / AA616 for area 93 - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When posting take over values error AA617 (Acquisition value will become negative in depreciation area 93) / AA616 (Acquisition value positive in area 93).

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Either in the Post Legacy Transfer Values app, or the Migration Cockpit.
  2. Enter the asset details for posting.
  3. Only enter values for Area 01.
  4. Simulate and error is given.

Cause

Area 93 is make up of area 92 minus area 01, and is required to have a a value of zero for acquisitions for area 93. 

Resolution

Enter take over values in area 92, where acquisition equals take over acquisition value in area 01.
