You find additional journal entry got created along with the original billing document. You would like to know why.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Create billing document and check journal entries linked with the document.

Those additional journal entries were created by the function Event-Based Revenue Recognition.
Please read the help portal page to understand the purpose of this function.
By default, the function is active. So the additional journal entries will be created automatically.

If you would like to deactivate this function, please check KBA 2820579.
