3105278 - How to skip errors when mass updating Recruiting Data via the Integration Center - Recruiting Management

Symptom

We are mass updating Recruiting Data (e.g. Job Requisitions, Applications or Candidate Profiles) using a csv file and the integration Center. One line of the csv file (e.g. a requisition, application or candidate profile) is failing due to an error which is stopping all other lines from being processed by the integration. Is there any way to Skip the entry causing the error and process the other entries that are not getting any errors?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Resolution

In the Integration Center there is a setting called "Operation". This has two notable settings, Upsert Multiple and Upsert Single.

  • Upsert Multiple is selected by default, this setting will process all lines in a csv file at once. Any error with one line will stop all lines from being processed.
  • When Upsert Single is selected, Integration Centre will process any entry in the input file that does not have an error. This means if any errors are detected, it will not prevent the integration from processing subsequent rows.

If you use Upsert Single then one error in one line of the file will not cause the rest to fail.
