3105821 - Recruiting Posting Chinese Job boards Integration - New Regulation

Symptom

After the November 1st, a new Chinese regulation concerning personal data protection will be rolling. This new regulation will forbid the transfer of PII data to non Chinese IP addresses.

Resolution

This new regulation doesn't prevent Recruiting Posting to post the jobs to Chinese Job boards :

  • efinancialcareers.cn
  • China HR (The Network)
  • Zhaopin (The Network)
  • Zhaopin
  • Liepin
  • JobsDB.hk

However Recruiting Posting integration is linked to the Candidate Pipeline Service for two Chinese Job board (51jobs and Zhaopin). For these 2 job boards here is the current state : 

  • 51Jobs : As per the latest communication from the job board here is the current state
    • 51jobs will maintain the job posting part.
    • 51jobs and SAP have developed a solution to redirect the candidates through the Candidate Pipeline Service feature and host the candidate application inside a Chinese Datacetner.
  • Zhaopin : Currently we didn't received any feedback from the job board concerning this new regulation. Therefore until now we consider that the posting workflow is maintained.
