3106381 - Error when upload Lead: 'You cannot change the data in Reason for Status'

 You are unable to upload a lead in the Standard template.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Marketing work center.
2. Go to Leads view.
3. Click in the New button and select Leads from Microsoft Excel. 
4. Put the necessary information in your template. 
5. Upload the file via Excel Add-In.

You get the error: '1 record(s) failed to save due to the errors: You cannot change the data in Reason for Status. Refresh the screen and try again. If the problem persists, report an incident.'

You've maintained multiple fields that contribute to actions in the Lead process, such as Lead status Accepted or Qualified. So you're trying to have the lead accepted and handover.

However, to hand a Lead, you must have a Sales Employee maintained.

Maintain a 'Employee Responsible - Sales' in your Excel template.
