3107491 - Performance degradation on ASE server with spids in COMPILING state due to SDK fix - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE issue
    • Performance degradation during compilation or runtime execution phases of queries involving numeric datatype columns
    • Spid(s) stuck in COMPILING state for very long time, causing severe impact on application
    • Alternately, a timeslice error is reported in the SAP ASE errorlog with a stacktrace that includes the following modules:
      com__subexctnumetoflt8 
      LeRun
  • SDK issue
    • Setting C code setlocale to a language that uses a comma (,) instead of a period (.) such as 10,03 causes CT-Library to truncate decimal places 10,00 for numeric and decimal columns.
