Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Admin Center>Manage Recruiting Settings
- Untick 'Disable One-Time Password-based Email Verification' and click 'Save':
- Create an account on the external career site
- Receive One Time Password Email but it is not displaying candidate name:
Resolution
This is expected behaviour, as since the 2021 H2 release, the default verification email with One-Time password, that is sent to candidates for account creation and updating of contact email in the Candidate Profile now no longer displays the names of the candidates. This update prevents phishing attacks.
NOTE: This change only affects the default OTP email. The update doesn’t impact the email templates configured by a customer using the One-Time Password for External Candidate Account Creation email trigger. You can still create a customized template for OTP and associate this with a trigger, where you can add the [[CANDIDATE_FULL_NAME]] token:
- Admin Center>Manage Recruiting Email Templates
- Create a new template for OTP:
- Go to Admin Center>Recruiting Email Triggers>One-Time Password for External Candidate Account Creation
- Click on Enable and select the template you have created:
- Go to the external career site and create an account and you will receive an email with the candidate name:
