Symptom
- Filenames with Chinese/Thai/Cyrillic etc. characters cannot be uploaded or displayed in the SAP system.
- SO424 "Error occurred during import" may occur during attempts to upload attachments with titles that include these non-English characters.
- Other languages which use Latin characters can have issues with special characters, e.g. Polish language.
- The characters are seen as hash signs, i.e. #####
- The Exception for function module SCMS_DOC_CREATE_FILES is 2 = BAD_REQUEST Unknown Functions or Parameters
- Checking the SLG1 log for the User that has the issue the following entries will be seen:
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
