Symptom

    How Name Format works in Org Chart?

    Environment

    SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

    Cause

    As part of 2H 2021, Org Chart feature will now adopt the formatted display name.

    Resolution

    Prerequisites:

    • Name Format should be enabled (see KBA 2274066 - How to use Name Format functionality in Employee Central for Org Chart)
    • EP Name format is enabled (configured with Configure People Profile)
    • Legal Entity is configured with EC name format 
    • Company system and logo setting->Enable the name format selected in Configure People Profile to apply globally" is enabled

    NOTE: SuccessFactors Mobile app currently does not display Preferred Name as the Web browser version of the application. There are future enhancements planned to extend this logic to further areas in the system but not confirmed dates have been provided.

    When the feature toggle is ON, Company Org Chart will respect both EC(Employee Center) and EP (Employee Profile) setting. Specifically, Company Org Chart supports below criteria.
