3109795 - Negative quantity is not supported in Service Contracts

You expect to be allowed for negative quantity and negative value in the service contracts.

Let's assume the following scenario:

You have a service contract with an item of 10 quantities with net value 10.000,00 EUR.

The customer want to reduce the items, in order to have 9 quantities for the contract.

You want to insert a new item with quantity -1, in order to reduce the total quantity from 10 to 9, so the net value will be adjusted to 9.000,00 EUR.

The negative quantities are not supported in the service contracts.

The negative values are supported in the service contracts.

Following the scenario just mentioned, the suggestion is to use negative price with positive quantity.

ITEM	Quantity	Price
100	10	10.000,00
200	1	-1.000,00

 

By setting the quantity to -1 and set the price to 1.000,00 is the same result as the case mentioned in the table above.

For example, if you need to consider the standard service contract item as credit memo for the following service contract item. Then you just need to change the price to the negative value.
