3110012 - R3trans returns error ORA-01017 - Netweaver

Symptom

  • The command "R3trans -d" failed with return code 0012.
  • The "trans.log" file shows following error messages:

    4 ETW000  [     dev trc,00000]  Connecting as SAPSR3/<pwd>@<SID> on connection 0 (nls 0)
    4 ETW000  [     dev trc,00000]     OCISessionBegin(OCI_DEFAULT) failed with SQL error 1017:
    4 ETW000  [     dev trc,00000]     ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
