Symptom
A KUT field for opportunity and sales quote is extended, but when you create a sales quote from the sales quote quick create screen, the KUT field remains empty.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Sales work center
- Go to Sales Quotes view
- Create (+)
- Select the Document Type
- Select the Account
- Add an opportunity where the KUT field has a value
- Select Save and Open
- Observe: When you open the sales quote, the KUT field is empty
Cause
You can create a quote as a follow-up document to an opportunity from the opportunity screen. In this case, the data of the opportunity (e.g. account, products or extension fields) is copied into the follow-up quote.
However, you can also just assign an opportunity to a quote by entering the opportunity ID in the quote screen. In this case, no data is copied, neither accounts, products nor extension fields. Nothing is copied from the opportunity in this case, also the field KUT is not copied.
