3111415 - How to decouple SAP Jam or SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone from BizX

• SAP Jam or SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone must be decoupled from BizX to enable user authentication via IAS and user provisioning via IPS.
• Work Zone Configurator shows error "UpdateEdition: Forbidden" while trying to convert existing Jam tenant.

SAP Jam and SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone no longer rely on BizX for user authentication or user provisioning. These functions are now handled by SAP Cloud Identity Services, specifically:

• Identity Authentication (IAS) for authentication
• Identity Provisioning (IPS) for user provisioning

For any SuccessFactors based Jam tenant to be converted to Work Zone, the following are necessary-

• The Jam tenant needs to be decoupled from SuccessFactors, to IAS-based authentication.
• The Jam tenant needs to be migrated from the existing HCM data center to a separate infrastructure for Work Zone.

• SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone instances using a legacy user synchronization process (delta export from BizX) instead of IPS
• Existing SAP Jam tenants currently integrated with BizX that are planned to be onboarded into SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone

Refer to the attached document, "How to Decouple SAP Jam or SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone from BizX", which contains the steps required to perform this activity.

Additionally, for SAP Jam tenants being converted to SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone, a tenant data migration to the current Work Zone infrastructure is required. This requirement must be explicitly included when raising the Off-BizX request.Trying to run Work Zone conversion without this migration done will result in "UpdateEdition: Forbidden" error.
