3112413 - Foreign Currency Valuation does not calculate values - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Foreign Currency Valuation does not calculate values where pairing values are added to reference currency.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Maintain currency pairs in Currency Exchange Rates App - eg. PLN/GBP and USD/GBP
  2. Run App Foreign Currency Valuation
  3. Currency combination values (eg. PLN/USD) are not calculated although both are added to the refence currency.

Cause

Translation ratio is not maintained in SSCUI 102568 "Define Translation Ratios for Currency Translation"

Resolution

To get the currency conversion running, configure the translation ratio. The conversion uses the reference currency for calculating the exchange rates therefore no direct rate is needed, but it needs this ratio for the currency combination used.

This can be maintained in SSCUI 102568 "Define Translation Ratios for Currency Translation".

The message log of the Foreign Currency Valuation report should show error SG111 "Maintain translation ratios for & / & (exchange rate type &)" to indicate the missing Ratio.
