3112545 - Sales Order Has 'In Process' Status, Due to One of the Lines is Cancelled

Sales Order is In Process even though the Customer Demand has not been released.

1. Go to Sales Orders work center.
2. Go to New Sales Order view.

The Sales Order has 'In Preparation' status.

1. Put the necessary information in the General tab.
2. Navigate to the Items tab.
3. Add various products / items.
4. Select one of those items.
5. Maintain a 'Reason for Rejection' in this item.
6. Save the document.

Now the Sales Order has 'In Process' status.

The header status is the aggregation of the item status. Hence if at least one of the item status is changed from Not Started even if it is because of cancellation, the header status will be affected.

If you need to keep the status of the sales order as In Preparation, then instead of maintaining `Reason for Rejection`, you will need to remove the line item from the sales order. 

1. Go to Sales Orders work center select Sales Order view.
2. Edit the sales order and click on View All
3. Navigate to the Items tab.
4. Select the line item and click on Remove button.
