3113109 - Initial OLAP Processing failed intermittently

Symptom

Previous Initial OLAP Processing jobs were successful
Current Initial OLAP jobs are failing
The jobs failed on Saturday or Sunday

Environment

SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics (ANA) - All versions

Cause

Check the elapsed time from previous successful Initial OLAP jobs to know how long the process usually takes to complete. If the job usually runs for more than 12 hours, and the current one failed within few hours (e.g. 3, 4) with no evident configuration error, the process is failing due to a temporary DB connectivity or network issue.

Example of network issue is "Data receive failed [Connection reset]"

Also, extensive builds consume a lot of memory, and if the job runs during the weekend, it can fail due to maintenance window. Similar issue -> 3003712 - WFA on HANA Incremental Load fails on a weekend or during a maintenance window - SAP for Me

Resolution

Please wait for a weekday to restart the initial load in order to complete it successfully.

However, if the job continues to fail, please reach out to Product Support to engage WFA Operations team to investigate the memory consumption.
