Dependents data gets duplicated on import

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Dependents Management

• Go to any Employee Profile having dependents data

• Now, edit one dependent via Edit -> Edit details

• With a new time slice Sept 1^st, and click Edit details

• After updating details, click Save

• After workflow is approved, check Dependents Portlet

• Now, verify data in relationship table; a new time slice is setup only for the modified dependent
• Now, import the relationship data to insert a new time slice with incremental load for all the dependents
• Now, verify data in relationship table
• For the dependent whose data got modified through user interface, a duplicate record is inserted

It is a known issue.

The work around (to create a new time slice for all the existing dependents) for this issue is to make changes to Dependents Portlet via below steps:

• Edit dependent in quick edit page

• With a new time slice of expected date eg. Sept 1^st, edit any field (example: middle name) in the quick edit page and Save        

• Now we can edit Dependent specific details as a new time slice is created for all existing dependents

• With the same time slice eg. Sept 1^st, click edit details for the target dependents

• Edit detail and Save
