3113717 - You find that Incorrect Net Value is Displayed for Item on Sales Quote Preview

You find that the net value reflecting on the sales quote preview is different from the net value in the sales quote.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to New Business Work Center - Sales Quotes View
2. Open Sales Quote ABC (where ABC stands for the sales quote)
3. Click Preview button
4. You can see the net value of Line Item XX (where XX stands for the line item) is 0.000
5. But in the Items tab the net value is YYY (where YYY stands for the net value differs from 0,000)

If you view the Data XML of the Sales Quote ABC, you can see the value 0.00 is displayed for item XX.

You have checked the "Optional“ indicator of the Line Item XX.

According to the tooltip for the Optional indicator on the Items tab of the quote, the price information for optional items is displayed in the quote, but not added to the total value of the quote.

Once a follow-up Sales Order is created, the optional items in the quote are set to Completed. Therefore, it is no longer possible to change or remove this item.

You can add the same product to the quote as a new item, and include the net value in the quote preview by not setting the Optional indicator.
