3114405 - Color palete is not consistent between systems in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) & SAP Digital Boardroom

Symptom

After migrating a story from one SAC tenant that has a boardroom license to a SAC tenant that does not have a boardroom license, the color palete is not consistent.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.1.1

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a story on a SAC tenant that has a boardroom license.
  2. Leave the color palete as the default option
  3. Migrate the story to another SAC tenant that does not have a boardroom license
  4. Note that the colors are now different

Cause

This behavior is by design

Resolution

When a SAC tenant has a boardroom license, the default color palette for new stories is set to the boardroom color palette.  If a story is migrated to a SAC tenant that does not have a boardroom license that tenant will not have the boardroom color palette and the colors in the story will be different.

A workaround for keeping the colors consistent between tenants is to use a non-default palette.
