Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Cause
- What changes are happening in H2 2021 to Job Classification Data and Foundation Objects?
As part of the H2 2021 Release, some minor changes are being made to some areas of the UI and Provisioning.
- Job Code Export page in Admin Center.
- Migrate Job Code Related Picklist page in Provisioning -> Company Settings -> Manage Recruiting (accessible only to Implementation Partners)
- Why is this change happening?
These 2 pages, which Customers and Partners have used in the past to migrate from Foundation objects to Generic Objects, are being removed as part of the H2 2021 Release. This is because all customers are now using Generic Objects.
Resolution
- Do any changes need to be made by customers to prepare for this release?
Product Management have confirmed that all customers in Recruiting are using Generic Objects. As such, no changes need be made by customers to prepare for this change.
- How can I verify my instance uses Generic Objects instead of Foundation objects?
To verify this in your instance, you can make the following check:
- Open Admin Centre
- Select Manage Data
- In the search box on the left, look for 'Job Code'
- On the second picklist, you should now see several entries for different Job Codes
- This confirms that your instance's Job Code data is maintained using Generic Objects
